At the VIP Laser Clinic Med Spa, multiple types of skin lesions are being effectively treated using the Pixel CO2 laser and IPixel Erbium YAG laser.

Syringomas

A syringoma is a firm bump that resembles a pimple (papule) on your skin that usually forms in small clusters or groups on your skin, most often on your face. Syringomas are the result of the overgrowth of your sweat glands. These bumps are harmless to your body.

Laser therapy is a common treatment for syringomas. It involves using a laser to focus an intense beam of light on the syringoma to destroy its tissue. This treatment is preferred for syringoma removal because it significantly reduces the risk of infection and scarring. In many cases, only one procedure is needed to remove the growth.

Xanthelasmas

Xanthelasma is a skin condition characterized by yellow patches that develop under the skin at the inner corners of the eyelids. Although typically harmless, some individuals may opt to have it removed for cosmetic reasons. It does not disappear on its own and can potentially increase in size over time.

 

Treatment options include:

- Surgical excision: While one of the earliest treatments available, it may have potential adverse outcomes.

- Laser treatments, particularly CO2 and iPixel Er: YAG, have shown excellent results in all treated patients at the VIP Laser Clinic Med Spa.

Xanthelasmas

Warts

Warts are non-cancerous viral growths usually caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). They most commonly occur on the hands, face, feet, and fingers, but they can also affect other locations, such as the genitals. One or many warts may appear. They are often raised, rough, and the same colour as the skin, but they can also be dark-coloured, flat, or smooth. Warts are common in children, teens, and adults.

At the VIP Laser Clinic, Med Spa, lasers are widely used to treat warts. The Pixel CO2 and the iPixel Er: YAG lasers are used to vaporize the warts from the skin surface. One session is usually enough to obtain excellent results. In rare cases, another treatment session may be required.
